Rose D. Massaro

June 27, 1934 - December 16, 2021

Rose D. Massaro (nee Trifiletti), of Sewell, NJ, formerly of Gloucester Township, NJ, passed away December 16, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Devoted wife of the late Robert V. Massaro, Sr., who predeceased her earlier this year. Beloved mother of Robert V. Massaro, Jr. (Felicia), Lorraine Tenuto (Frank), and Michael Massaro, Sr.(Linda). Proud grandmother of Michael Massaro, Jr. (Paula), Amanda Santos (Anthony), Andrew Massaro, Devin Massaro, and Alanna Massaro; great-grandmother of Angelo and Amelia Santos. She is also survived by many treasured nieces and nephews. Rose was sadly predeceased by her five siblings and their spouses; Sarah Arcamone (Vincent), Anthony Trifiletti (Betty), Mae DelCoco (Joe), Joseph Trifiletti (Phyllis), and Lidio Trifiletti. Rose worked for many years as an accounting and human resources representative for Aetna Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA. She enjoyed singing, traveling, and dancing with her husband. She liked watching the glitz and glam of Dancing With the Stars, and listening to string bands. Rose liked the challenge of a good seek-and-find or game of cards and was an avid reader. Rose had a warm and inviting personality and always made people feel welcome in her home. She was a talented cook and baker and thoroughly enjoyed hosting family dinner, especially during the holidays. She always took time out for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she so deeply adored. Rose was a generous, kind, and charitable person who was always willing to give to those in need. She will be greatly missed by all of those who loved her. Viewing will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish / St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Interment with her late husband will follow at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
