Raymond S. Spohn, of Hilltop, NJ, passed away June 9, 2022, at the age of 90 years. Devoted husband of the late Joan Spohn (nee Moss) who predeceased him in 2012. Beloved father of the late Steve Spohn (Nancy, surviving), Jeff Spohn (Roe), Britt Spohn (Sharon), and Yve Gemerek (Paul). Proud grandfather of Steve, Sherri, Sarah, Deborah, Ryan, Jessie, Priscilla, Samantha, Rebecka, Kyle, and Kimberly; great-grandfather of Zachary, Danyka, Taryn, William, Carter, Elizabeth, Harper, Kimberly, Asher, Corrine, Ryan, Cassius, and Bryan. Dear brother of Anna. He was predeceased by six of his siblings; George, William Frederick, Mary, Virginia, Irene, and Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as their families. Raymond served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for many years as a self-employed precision sheet metal worker. He enjoyed raising his horses and other farm animals. He enjoyed fishing and sharing his catch. He enjoyed country music. He loved visits from his family, especially when it included a cheesesteak for lunch. Viewing will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Cremation and urn burial will take place at a later date.
