Patricia Ann "Patty" Bowker

August 28, 1941 - April 7, 2020

***Please read to bottom of obituary for updated service information*** Patricia Ann “Patty” Bowker (nee O’Toole) of Gloucester Township, NJ, passed away on April 7, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Devoted wife of Raymond J. Bowker. Beloved mother of Michael J. Bowker (Betsy) of Lansdale, PA and Michelle L. Bowker of Gloucester Township, NJ. Proud grandmother of Erin D. Bowker of Marlton, NJ, Matthew M. Bowker of Marlton. NJ, Meghan J. Bowker of Marlton, NJ, Paul W. Kendikian of Lansdale, PA, Steven B. Kendikian of Lansdale, PA, and Samantha D. Kendikian of Lansdale, PA. Loving sister of the late Dorothy A. Morlachetta (brother-in-law Jack, surviving). Dear aunt of James L. D’Auria, John A. D’Auria (Lisa), Carleen A. Cooney (Patrick), Kathleen A. Victor (Robert), Maria T. Morris (James), and Lauren E. Desiderio; great-aunt of Jamie, Emily, Patrick, Ryan, Megan, John, Matthew, and Katie. Patty’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. They were the center of her life. She was a close confidante for her entire family; always ready to lend an ear when someone needed to talk. Patty could often be found on the sidelines of her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews sporting events. No matter the sport or level, Patty was always there in the front row cheering them on. She was an avid Flyers and Eagles fan, and rarely missed a game. She looked forward to attending a Flyers game every year with her children and grandchildren. Patty enjoyed vacationing with her immediate family along the East Coast, and cruising internationally with her husband Ray, sister Dotty, and brother-in-law Jack. One of Patty’s favorite pastimes, coined “porch time” by her grandchildren, was sitting on the front porch in the morning while drinking coffee, admiring her envious Southern Magnolia tree and catching up on the lives of her children and grandchildren. Patty worked for the Gloucester Township school district for many years as a bus aide, where she provided much-needed care and assistance to special needs students during transportation to and from school. She was greatly loved and respected by both the students and her co-workers. Urn visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish/ St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Urn burial will immediately follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
