Mildred Benard (nee Hartman), of Blackwood, NJ, passed away peacefully July 17, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Devoted wife of the late Lowell Benard who predeceased her in 2017. Beloved mother of Monica Benard of Blackwood, NJ and Brenda Rich (Jon) of Bethlehem, PA. Proud grandmother of Joshua, Courtney, Miranda, Micah, Rachel, Rebecca, and Samuel; great-grandmother of Summer, Michael, Luca, Dakota, Thea, Colton, Oliver, and Slade. Dear sister of Harold Hartman (the late Marian) of Greenwood Lake, NY, the late Michael Hartman (Nancy, surviving), and the late Verna Moppert (the late Ed). Mildred worked for many years as a registered nurse at West Jersey Hospital in Camden, NJ. She was a longtime member and supporter of Bethel Community Church. She enjoyed painting portraits and landscapes. She was talented at sewing and often made dresses for her daughters. Mildred loved to care for her home inside and kept the outside beautiful as well. She liked to play the piano and enjoyed the challenge of a good puzzle. Her kind heart and caring nature lead her to be cherished in the hearts of many who knew her, young and old alike. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 12:30 PM, at Bethel Cemetery, 481 Delsea Drive, Sewell, NJ 08080.
