Aquilino M. Andres Sr. of Newark, DE, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 2, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Devoted husband of the late Virginia P. Andres. Beloved father of Angelita Andres Sacapano (son-in-law Samuel Sacapano), Ruth Andres Oreas (son-in-law Napoleon Oreas), and Aquilino P. Andres Jr. (daughter-in-law Rosalin Andres). Loving grandfather of Barbie and Ryan Massey, Austin and Holly Andres, Jeffrey and Chellsay Jirkovsky, Jed Paul and Gladys Sacapano, Jon Samuel and Luz Sacapano, Rachel and TJ Jimenez, Carlo Napoleon Oreas, Gabriel Napoleon Oreas, Avidelle Ruth Oreas, and Angela Mia Oreas. Proud great-grandfather of Mavi Ann Sacapano, Lochlan George Massey, Gabrielle Jade Jimenez, Lily Rogue Massey, and Isadora Rosalin Jaia Jirkovsky. Mr. Andres was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Blackwood in Blackwood, NJ and Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Bear, DE. As a trained mechanical engineer, he has a knack for problem solving, both tangible and intangible things. He is extremely good at playing Sudoku, Checkers, and yes - even Blackjack! He loves doing artwork and puzzles which he freely shares with family and friends. Prior to moving to Delaware, he did a lot of volunteer work both in the Philippines and in New Jersey. The verses in the 23rd Psalm are his all-time favorites. Viewing will be held on April 9 (Monday), 10:15AM – 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Blackwood, 899 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM.
