Robert C. Ellis, CPO USN-RET., of Blackwood, NJ died Monday, March 1, 2010 at the age of 82 yrs. Beloved wife of Elvera (nee Bertie). Dear father of Deborah Leff (Kenneth) of Zephyrhills, FL and Cindy Dougherty (Robert) of Conowingo, MD. Loving brother of Anita Herron of Henderson, NV and Donna Herbert of Anderson, IN. Dear grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Robert retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 yrs of dedicated service. He was also a federal employee for 24 yrs with the Social Security Administration.
Visitation will be Saturday, 2:00-3:00 PM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ 08012. A service will follow at 3:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will take place with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory would be appreciated to the VA Medical Center, Medical Center for the visually impaired, 3900 Woodland Ave., Phila., PA 19104, Attn: Melissa.
